About Us
The farm and its location

Cherry Tree Farm has been farmed by the Ryan family for many generations and is located within the Slieve Felim range. We farm a French breed of cattle called Salers who enjoy our alpine pastures.
Our farmlands are of particular Celtic and spiritual interest in that we have three ring or fairy forts (An Rath No An Lios) which date back to early Christian times. One fort is of particular Celtic significance as it is positioned high above the River Shannon and in line with the site of the High King Brian Boru's birthplace.
Our self-catering accommodation consists of a holiday mobile home located on its own 1/4 acre site with b-b-q and fairy fort picnic. Fresh eggs available every morning from our hens and our pure mountain spring water on tap. Our farm walks take in the spectacular panoramic scenery, including Keeper Hill viewing point. [Please note that we are a working farm and not a commerical camp site. Ideal location for country and nature lovers]
